Student Roll: Nadia Morrison, Pamela Moffat & Janice Moffat

Nadia, Pamela and Janice

Janice and Pamela

Janice's story (as told by Lesley Dunbar, April '21):

"So this post is a little different to the others I have enjoyed reading so far, however, Michelle and I thought it important to share. This is a tribute to our friend, the lovely Janice Moffat, who remains forever 39 in contrast to the rest of us old farts on the wrong side of 50.
Janice completed her pre-reg in Inverclyde Royal Hospital before moving to Dundee to take up a basic grade post in Ninewells. While walking the long corridors she began to experience a loss of balance and peripheral neuropathy. An eventual diagnosis of MS and fairly rapid progression resulted in a move back to the family home in Greenock. Some part-time work in IRH was possible for a while but eventually had to stop, much to her disgust! Janice's mum and dad, Jean and John, were devoted to her and helped us all to have many fun visits, often with assorted young children in tow, until she passed away in August 2007.
Janice was my closest friend at uni since we met on day 1 walking along George St to the Royal College and Michelle, Angela, Sushma, Julie and Graeme were particularly close too as well as so many others who enjoyed her sense of fun. I thoroughly enjoyed looking through some old photos again and remembering all the great times we had and how important Janice was to me at such a formative time. I hope you like them too. X"
